On the occasion of the 2020 100% virtual edition of the annual congress organized by the SID (Society for investigative dermatology), SILAB held two conferences:
Laura Cau, in vitro innovation project leader at SILAB, gave a lecture on her research work conducted during her international scientific volunteering in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Gallo at the University of California San Diego: "Staphylococcus epidermidis protease EcpA is a deleterious component of the skin microbiome in atopic dermatitis".
Carine Mainzer, R&D scientific support at SILAB Inc., the American subsidiary, presented the research work of the SILAB Softcare department, specialized in the care of compromised skin: "C. acnes IA1 phylotype induces features of acneic skin when applied on 3D in vitro model".
The OSA Biophotonics congress is dedicated to the development of technologies for biomedical research. SILAB virtually displayed a poster presenting an innovative approach in skin imaging: "Comparison between LC-OCT imaging and histology to quantify the superficial dermis thickness".
LC-OCT technology has especially supported the development of MATRIBUST®, a natural firming active ingredient dedicated to the beauty of the neck and décolleté.
