Japan Account Manager - Cosmetics Ingredients H/F




Description de la mission

For its newly established subsidiary, SILAB NEA (North-East Asia) is seeking an account manager based in its office in Tokyo, to participate in its development on the market of natural active ingredients for the cosmetic and dermo-cosmetic industry.


To take over, grow and consolidate the business established with SILAB’s historical Japanese distributor.


To achieve this goal, you’ll need to: 

- introduce the latest and current ingredients at SILAB’s natural active ingredients portfolio;

- develop business mainly in contact with Domestic player and possibly with multinationals;

- prospect for new customers;

- identify and follow up sales projects;

- develop and maintain effective relationships and loyalty with customers, decision-makers, and influencers;

- plan and execute periodic business trips to meet customers, participate in training courses, seminars, events, and exhibitions.


To ensure that your activities are carried out, you will prepare the annual sales budget and your activity reports for your manager. You will also participate in events and dedicated shows as an exhibitor or visitor. 


You will interact closely with the specific internal teams for scientific and marketing support, customer project leaders, and sales and logistics administration linked to customers’ needs and demands. Upon your arrival, you will benefit from a dedicated training agenda and an annual training schedule linked to the SILAB University program (France and Asia).


The position requires a double competency in Business and Science, we are looking for a profile with a bachelor’s, master’s or an engineering degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, or similar. It’s expected a previous experience in sales for BtoB cosmetic active ingredients, pharmacy, or food industry. As a technical sales representative, you need to present a sense of autonomy, and strong responsibility, being open-minded and attracted by new challenges. You are fluent in Japanese and are comfortable communicating in English in a professional context.
